Policies

1. Individual (non-package sessions) can be canceled with no penalty with 24-hours notice.  Sessions canceled within 24 hours can be rescheduled based on the tutor’s availability within 5 days of the initial missed session.  No-shows forfeit the session.  

2. The minimum billed session is 30 minutes.  You can plan a shorter session with your tutor if you wish but the minimum time billed is 30 minutes.  

3. Package sessions cannot be broken up into multiple shorter sessions.  The tutor will provide the entire time for the package session but if there is no material to cover or the student ends the session early it will be billed for the entire time.  If a tutor cancels the session early for other reasons, a credit will be given for the remaining time.  

4. Payment for sessions is required to be completed before the commencement of the session begins.  

   1. If you wish to cancel a paid session 24 hours or more before the session, you may request a refund or session credit.  

   2. Cancellations for paid sessions within 24 hours of the session will be forfeited unless you and the tutor can find a make-up time within 5 days of the initial paid session.

5. Sessions begin at the arranged time.  Tutors will wait for 10 minutes before ending a session and declaring a no-show.  If you anticipate being late but still want to use your remaining time please communicate directly with your tutor.  

6. Sessions may be recorded at the discretion of the tutor. 

7. Communication with your tutor should be through the tutoring platform or whatever means the tutor has provided, such as company email.  

8. Beyond Bored will attempt to right or correct any problem as quickly as possible.  Please communicate directly with the administrative staff of Beyond Bored to resolve any issues. If we are not able to resolve your issue, we will happily refund you for unused sessions.
