Hi there! I'm Kenzi.

Once upon a time (about 4 years ago), I truly believed I was destined to go to law school. I was getting my B.A. in political theory at UCLA, and was fully ready to commit myself to three more years of law school. However, over three years of volunteer work as a camp counselor, I realized my passion was with working with children. I decided to instead pursue a career in education after graduating, and thank goodness, because I like fun too much to have been a lawyer!

When I'm not tutoring, I'm taking classes in pursuit of my MS in Speech-Language Pathology, doing yoga, or trying my best to learn how to play the jazz bass I got for Christmas. For some reason I'm not the immediate prodigy I believed myself to be, but I'm exercising patience, practicing a growth mindset, and taking it step by step.

As a tutor, this is what I hope to help my students do for themselves. I believe that tutoring is about more than just helping to understand homework. Instead, together, my students and I will take it day by day to achieve any and all goals they have, whether they be academic, or master an instrument. Nothing is impossible to learn.
