I first started tutoring over 20 years ago while teaching middle school. I wanted to meet with my students one-on-one to support them in their learning. Later, when I moved to teaching part-time, I increased my tutoring outside class from as young as 5 up to those in college, who were struggling with statistics.

I realized I loved helping others truly understand what they were learning while having fun along the way.

I earned my B.A. in elementary education, followed by a M.A. in secondary education, then finally my Ph.D. in educational psychology. I guess I just love to learn and love to help others find their own joy in learning too. My research centered on motivation, and I enjoy helping others find their pathway to achievement by finding out how what they’re learning relates to what is truly important to them.
